The
first couple of official images from director Paul McGuigan's Victor Frankenstein have
become available, and they not only show James McAvoy as a dashing Victor Von Frankenstein
but also a hunchback-less Igor played by Daniel Radcliffe.
Speaking to Empire Magazine, McAvoy
revealed that "as much as the monster is his creation, Igor is
his creation as well. That was quite exciting. It’s funny, the script, but also
really dark, in a cool way."
Opening on October 2, 2015, Victor
Frankenstein also stars Jessica Brown Findlay as
Lorelei, Andrew Scott as Roderick Turpin, and Freddie Fox as Finnegan.
When Dr. Victor Frankenstein
(James McAvoy) and his trusted assistant Igor (Daniel Radcliffe) go too far in
their noble attempts to aid humanity, Victor’s obsession turns to madness. He
then unleashes his final creation –a monstrous figure that holds unimaginable
terror for anyone its path.
