Dwayne Johnson has
announced that after a 2hr presentation he has officially signed on to voice Maui,
the male lead in the Disney Animation Studios upcoming film, Moana.
The story follows Moana,
a born navigator that teams-up with her hero the demi-god Maui in search of a
fabled island.
Besides announcing
his casting, Johnson also revealed he will do what almost all lead Disney characters
do, sing.
Directed by Ron
Clements (Aladdin, Treasure Planet) and John Musker (The Little Mermaid, The
Princess and the Frog), Moana opens on November 23, 2016.
In the ancient South
Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a
fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her
hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an
action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking
underworlds and ancient folklore.
People who make Disney movies spend months planning the stories for their movies, storyboarding, changing things, making character motivation make sense. I wanted to know frozen dvd release date as when you ever watch the DVD extras of Disney films you'll see them talk about how essential getting the story right is for them.
