The recent episode of Arrow confirmed the rumors that Roy Harper, aka Arsenal has left Starling City for good,
well kind off. The character's departure from The CW series was due to Colton Haynes two-year contract, which had ended.
Haynes still has one more
episode of Arrow in him, but according to executive producer Marc Guggenheim
there is a possibility of Arsenal either joining or appearing in one of the
other shows, i.e. Flash, or the announced Arrow/Flash spinoff.
The hope is that
he’ll continue to be part of the universe we are building. We love working
with his so much. We’ve talked to him about returning to one of the
three shows, and if available, he has expressed interest. He is gone but definitely not forever.
However, it seems that Oliver
won't be out of a sidekick for too long, as according to fellow executive
producer Greg Berlanti the season finale might introduce Arrow to his next
helper.
