Defiance
Season 1 Episode 3 – Down In The Ground Where The Dead Men Go – Review (Spoiler
Alert)
Has
with episode one and two (the pilot), we are still discovering a little bit
about the characters and the reasons why they do what they do. In this third
episode of Defiance we found out that there is a conspiracy that might involve destroying
the city. Graham Greene’s character Rafe McCawly finds out that his eldest
son,
whom was murdered in the last episode, was involved in the conspiracy, like Ben
the Mayor’s aide, who is brought back to life by an unknown party, only to find
himself killed again, when he tries to blow up the nuclear power plant in old
Saint Louis. Irisa finds herself getting pulled in to the world of this small
town, when she interrupts and frees a Castithan from an ancient ritual, and
much more.
All
and all Defiance is building itself to be a very cool show with a very good
cast and excellent CGI (for TV) and very well done makeup fx.
On
another note that Castithans bath scene, which appeared so far in all the episodes,
is a total rip off the TV show Spartacus and both shows have actress Jaime
Murray in it. I don’t recall her ever doing something like that on Warehouse 13
but well…
