In the first season of
Daredevil we were introduced to Melvin Potter (Matt Gerald), the brilliant clothing
designer behind Kingpin's (Vincent D'Onofrio) impenetrable suits and Daredevil's
(Charlie Cox) iconic red costume.
Melvin's return for
the second season was expected but not confirmed, until now that is.

In the comics, Melvin
is also known by another, more villainous name, Gladiator, a martial arts
expert that wears a metal armor filled with edged weapons including two metallic
gauntlets, one on each wrist, with spinning circular blades attached, which he
uses for attack.
