Paramount Pictures
has announced that director Christopher McQuarrie's (Jack Reacher) Mission:
Impossible 5 will be released on IMAX like its predecessor Brad Bird's Mission:
Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
The press release says
that the film will be digitally re-mastered for IMAX, meaning that McQuarrie
didn't use IMAX cameras, which might be a deal breaker for some, but they do tend
to work, so count me in.
Opening on July 31st,
Mission: Impossible 5 stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Ving
Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Alec Baldwin.
