Back in September of 2014,
a put pilot (penalties to the network if not aired) of DC Comics Vertigo imprint,
Lucifer series was ordered by Fox, who left its development in charge of Californication
creator and executive producer Tom Kapinos. Since the announcement not a
whisper of how things were going was uttered, until now that is. According to
Bleeding Cool, Fox has given the go ahead to Kapinos' pilot.
Lucifer is a spinoff of Neil Gaiman's Sandman
series, and "centers on Lucifer who, bored and unhappy as the Lord
of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering
insanity of Los Angeles, where he opens an exclusive piano bar called
Lux."
