After a failed
attempt at a web-series, writer Tim Daniel and artist Mehdi Cheggour's post-apocalyptic
comic series Enormous is back again but this time as a TV event series (miniseries,
limited series, or who knows what) to be developed by Fox 21 Television
Studios, New Regency Television, and Prime Universal Films. Adrian Askarieh (Prime
Universal), and Andrew Poltkin (New Regency) will act as the event series
executive producer, which is in search of a showrunner.
As I mentioned there was a previous attempt at
a web-series. The pilot, or short as it was subsequently reclassified was
written by Trollhunter's Andre Ovredal, and directed by Ben David Grabinski. Now
executive producer Adrian Askarieh was at the time the producer for the would
be series.
Enormous Synopsis:
Enormous tells the
full tale of the aftermath of a vast ecological cataclysm which spawns colossal
beasts unlike anything ever witnessed. Humankind stares down imminent
extinction and the only law is to hunt or be hunted. It’s survival of the
biggest as the earth-shaking sci-fi action adventure continues.
As the last vestige
of humankind spirals towards annihilation, Ellen Grace leads the only remaining
North American Search & Recovery Team through the deadly giant monster
infested streets of Phoenix. However, she soon encounters another predator far more
dangerous than the other-worldly creatures stalking the desolate city: her
fellow humans.
