Like many others who have worn
a superhero costume before him, Charlie Cox, the star of the upcoming
Marvel/Netflix 13-episode series Daredevil, also had some issues with the cut of
the costume and the lengthy process, which took to put it on.
"It's
pretty tight, I'm not going to lie," the British actor told E Online while attending the SAG Awards. "They've done
such a great job. I can't wait for fans to really see it. But put it this way,
there is no world where you change in a phone box. It takes four people and about 45 minutes."
Cox is not the first actor to
complaint about the restriction of donning a superhero costume. Ben Affleck,
Christian Bale, and George Clooney (who almost couldn't move), have all had
some problems with their suits, including going to the bathroom.
"They're very clever about
it," said Cox. "You get three zippers. You zip them all up, but when
you have to wee, you just have to zip one down—the wee zipper."
Debuting on April 10, Daredevil stars Charlie Cox as
Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, Rosario Dawson
as Claire Temple, Scott Glenn as Stick, Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin, Elden
Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
