When Oliver died (?) after his battle with Ra's al
Ghul at the end of the show's third season, ninth episode, we all just assumed
that our lead hero would take a dip into the Lazarus Pit and voilà he is back! At the time this theory seemed to be correct thanks in part to Stephen Amell's frequent teasing about where the show would go when it returned. Now, while at the TCA's Amell revealed that perhaps the pit won't play a part in the character's
survival after all.
"We just saw him fall. We’ve seen Oliver
survive. So, [we don’t know] whether he went straight off the cliff,
whether something broke his fall, whether he hit the ground. We have
mystical herbs on the show that have healing powers. We’ve seen a Lazarus Pit,
although that’s not something that’s going to be used for Oliver. I hope he survives. I
like playing him."
