After the acclaim and notoriety that
came with The Social Network, and the animated feature film Rio, Jesse
Eisenberg went on a run of low-profile films like Why Stop Now?, 30 Minutes Or
Less, and Free Samples. The actor "resurfaced" again in 2013 with the
box-office hit Now You See Me, and the critically acclaimed films The Double,
and Night Moves. If 2013 was a "good" year, then next
year when he steps in as Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of
Justice things are sure to change once again.
On a recent phone interview with
the actor, who is in London shooting Now You See Me: The Second Act, Variety took
the opportunity to ask him about the much-anticipated sequel to Man of Steel. Obviously,
the actor did not give too much away, as it seems like Marvel, DC also has those
infamous spoiler snipers.
"I can’t say anything about
this stuff," he responded when asked if his head was still shaven.
"They want all this to be a surprise."
He was however more open to the
idea of returning, which has been rumored for a while.
"I would love to. It’s a
great group and director, and the most ideal character to play."
Finally, the actor revealed that
he wasn't a fan of Superman growing up, and that he only watched the movies to
understand the context of this one.
