The nominations for the 87th Academy Awards came out
yesterday, and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy did as expected, getting two
nominations, one for best Makeup and Hairstyling, and another one for Visual
Effects. Unfortunately, it didn't manage to repeat the Writers Guild Awards nomination for best adapted screenplay. But not all is lost. Last night at the Critics
Choice Awards Marvel's first foray into outer space took home the Best Action
Movie award.
