In a recent interview, Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller took
the opportunity to announce that Red Hood will be making an appearance in the
show when he was asked if we will see any characters in costumes now that we
are just ten episodes away from the season finale.
"There's going to be an episode
that involves the Red Hood, which picks up that strand, the costume
strand," he said, adding that we shouldn't expect for Gotham to become
"a full-on costume drama". As for any kind of superpowers Heller says
that "there's the super powers, super will, and there's super strength,
but only on a human level. Not on a supernatural level."
The Red Hood was originally the alias
for the Joker, and although it has been used by other characters, including
former Robin, Jason Todd, I will venture a guess and say that they will be
introducing the Joker that way and not as the Clown Prince of Crime.
In regards
to the season finale, Heller makes it sound like things will be cranked up to a
thousand.
"We'd
always planned for the end of the season to be as big and spectacular and as
shocking and as frightening and as sensational as it possibly can be. And we're going ahead with that plan."
