Let's begin with our countdown with Cap 2, who unsurprisingly continues in the number one spot. Out of the new releases only three managed to hit the top ten list, the animation sequel Rio 2, the horror flick Oculus and Ivan Reitman's return to directing after the three year sabbatical, Draft Day. Those that didn't are Jim Jarmusch vampire story Only Lovers Left Alive starring Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton, The Railway Man starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth, the Nick Frost's lead Cuban Fury, the documentary Dancing in Jaffa and Hateship Loveship starring Christen Wiig, Guy Pearce and Haillee Steinfeld.
Of those still in list Divergent and God's Not Dead
are in the clear (budget), while Noah, Muppets and Mr. Peabody & Sherman
are still fighting to at least breakeven.
For next week's list, we hope to see The Raid 2 (11), Under
the Skin (20) and Only Lovers Left Alive (30) achieve a better spot, but will they? What do you think?
