According to the latest batch of
rumors from writer/director David Ayer's Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller will not only
mention the Caped Crusader in the film but will actually see him in some
security footage. Well Forbes has now chimed in on the rumor, and they say that they
have heard that more than being seen on some footage, Ben Affleck will actually
appear in the film as Batman.
According to them, Batman will
appear at the end of the film when the Joker escapes from jail, setting him up
as the villain in the Batman standalone film. They add that it "will take
some inspiration from Frank Miller’s comic book series The Dark Knight Returns
— the third issue of which is a story about Batman facing off against an
escaped Joker. I’m also told that Gotham City Police Commissioner Ellen Yindel
(who replaces James Gordon during the comic book story) is planned for
inclusion in the film."
