It looks like Orphan Black star
Tatiana Maslany, and Her star Rooney Mara, are among a group of actresses that will
be testing for the lead role in director Gareth Edwards' December 16, 2016 Star
Wars spin-off. The news comes via The Hollywood Reporter, which adds
that the studio is keen to meet Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones (The
Theory of Everything).
The site also confirms my
suspicions in regards to the rumors that Simon Kinberg would be taking over the
writing duties on Edwards' film. According to them the screenwriter has more
than enough project on his hands as it is, so no he probably won't be writing anything
for Edward's.
