In the wake of the
hack scandal, and terrorist threats Sony Pictures has decided to scrap (for now)
the theatrical release of Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen latest comedy The
Interview starring Rogen, James Franco, and Lizzy Caplan. The film's premise
sends Rogen (Aaron Rapaport), and Franco (Dave Skylark) to North Korea to do an
interview to the country's leader, Kim Jung-Un, however before they go the duo
are recruited by the CIA and the interview suddenly becomes an assassination
mission.
Was Sony right in canceling
the distribution of film? Some people say yes others say no, some say safety
above all, but reports are now saying that there wasn't any "chat" in
regards to any theater bombings, however the backlash is starting to show as
more and more Hollywood personalities have gone to various social medias to
express their dissatisfaction with the studio's decision. One was Guardians of
the Galaxy director James Gunn who with a dose of humor made his point.
