British actor John Boyega made headlines two days ago
as the first face to shine in the first teaser for J.J. Abrams Star Wars: The
Force Awakens. The Attack the Block and 24: Live Another Day actor is one of
the recent additions to the galaxy far, far away, and so far one of the most
cryptic ones. Is he a stormtrooper, or an undercover rebel agent?
A few hours ago the actor took to instagram and addressed
the love he received from Star Wars fans but also the hate.
The "get used to it" seems to be address to
those that began making racist remarks when they first saw the actor in the
teaser. The various racist comments that I personally have read range from the
your run of the mill idiot to those that are Star Wars knowledge deficient and assume
that Stormtroopers are Clone Troopers, sorry…wrong, two different things, there
for a black Stormtrooper doesn't go against what has been previously done.
