On the heels of the brand new
trailer, here are some new images from the upcoming The Hunger Games:
Mockingjay – Part 1 as well as part of an extensive interview with the star, Jennifer
Lawrence.
"Katniss must feel like
an alter ego at this point?
Actually I'm nothing like her, but Katniss is a dream
character. She is the reluctant hero. She is constantly evolving and changing,
so even though I play her in four movies, I never get bored. In Mockingjay -
Part 1, she has had so many loved ones ripped away from her and she is feeling
so much.
You have some new cast in MJ-1
too, like Natalie Dormer as Cressida and Julianne Moore as Coin.
Girls! Yay! It's such a boys' club, so I love that
Julianne and Natalie came on. They're both so fun to work with and it's just
nice to have some more woman in powerful roles. With Cressida and her crew,
Kantiss sees people who have dedicated their lives to the cause. They escaped
the Capitol for this rebellion and they gain her trust."
Directed by Francis Lawrence, The
Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson,
Liam Hemsworth, Jena Malone, Sam Claflin, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks,
Jeffrey Wright, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland, and the late Philip Seymour
Hoffman, and opens on November 21st.
