What hours ago was just a rumor has now been confirmed
by THR. Stardust and Boardwalk Empire actor Charlie Cox has been cast as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil in the upcoming
Marvel/Netflix series Daredevil.
In addition, Marvel has released the plot synopsis for
the show.
Blinded as a young boy
but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by
day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's
Kitchen, New York City.
The
13-episode series will premiere on Netflix in 2015, with Steven DeKnight as the showrunner.
