The final piece of the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot
has been set. According to Variety Wrath of the Titans star Toby Kebbell has
signed on to play the main villain in the reboot, Doctor Victor von Doom.
The actor, who recently landed a key role in Dawn of
the Planet of the Apes and a supporting role in the upcoming Warcraft movie has
been tapped by 20th Century Fox to play Doctor Doom opposite Miles Teller as
Mr. Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, Kate Mara as the Invisible
Woman and Jamie Bell as The Thing.
Since the movie already has sequel scheduled for 2017
it's possible that Kebbell's Doom becomes a recurring character should the
franchise take off.
At this time, not much is known about Josh Trank's
reboot but it will reportedly be based on the Ultimate Fantastic Four run, which features a younger group of heroes and a slightly different origin story.
