Today TNT announced the premiere dates
for the fourth season of their hit sci-fi series Falling Skies, as well two new
series, The Last Ship and Legends. In addition the network also released
trailers for all three series.
"For the past three summers,
TNT has had great creative and commercial success with 'Falling Skies,' which
has inspired us to continue to program for fans of sci-fi and action,"
said Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner
Classic Movies (TCM). "This year, we're going to launch 'The Last Ship'
and 'Legends,' two expertly crafted shows that bring the storytelling scope and
thrill-ride excitement of our favorite summer movies to series television. With
their great writing, expansive casts and outstanding production quality, these
are really fun, smart and addictive shows."
Legends stars Sean Bean (LOTR,
Equilibrium), Ali Larter (Heroes), Amber Valletta (Revenge) and Tina Majorino
(Veronica Mars, True Blood).
In Legends Martin Odum (Bean) is
a chameleon-like CIA agent that can change into anyone every time he has a
case. But who is he?
The Last Ship stars Adam Baldwin
(Firefly), Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy), Rhona Mitra (Underworld: Rise Of The
Lycans) andMichaela McManus (The Vampire Diaries).
After a pandemic destroys most of
the earth's population, the crew of USS Nathan James finds themselves stranded
on their ship.
