Here are the winners for this
year’s British Academy Film Award (BAFTA), and only one surprise, Barkhad Abdi
took home the award for best supporting actor in Paul Greengrass’ Captain Phillips.
Director Alfonso Cuarón took the best director statue once again and so did 12
Years a Slave for best picture, maintaining this year’s award trend. Jennifer
Lawrence won best supporting actress for American Hustle, Chiwetel Ejiofor won
best actor for 12 Years and Cate Blanchett adds another award for her
performance in Blue Jasmine.
