Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Design Revealed? - Rumors/Spoilers

The next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles installment is coming this August and one of the many things on fans minds is how they will look like. Well according to Idle Hands the new turtles will be sort of classic and sort of not. The blog says that an unnamed source has seen the first incarnations of the action figures for the upcoming film.

I think that it’s good to keep in mind that even if someone did indeed saw the action figures they might not reflect the character’s look in the film.

According to the blog, the turtles will have a “traditional” design but “less texture” than the 90’s films, and each has their respective color masks and weapons. Also on the overall look it seems that they will have an “hunched over” posture.

Raphael is reported to be most muscular of the four, with Leonardo close behind. Michelangelo will be the shortest while Donatello is “slimmer, leaner”.

Master Splinter boasts a "very traditional design" with a Fu Manchu type of mustache and some sort of hair bun. As for his clothing Splinter will have a "slightly tattered samurai outfit with a blue upper half with gold accents, tan lower belted robes and blocky sandals."

And because the movie will also have Shradder in it, the blog says that he has "pointy edges coming off of absolutely anything" on his suit and that he is "covered head to toe in metal armor or blades." They then add that his helmet is "pseudo-traditional, adopting elements of the classic look" but unfortunately they also say that "He'll be the stuff of ridicule for some time."

TMNT is directed by Jonathan Liebsman and stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter and William Fichtner as Shredder.

TMNT opens on August 8th, 2014.
