Director and screenwriter Quentin Tarantino has been
making movies at a rate of about one every three years, which means that his
next project should arrive in theaters in 2015.
In late November of this year Tarantino appeared on
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and announced that his next project will be
another western, and that it wouldn’t be a sequel to Django Unchained. This
piece of news shattered the dreams of fans that wanted either a sequel to
Inglourious Basterds or a continuation to Kill Bill.
In an interview to The Independent, the director said
that “I don’t think about Kill Bill 3 that much.”
Tarantino then explained that when he said while back that he would make 10 films and then he would stop, the number he gave was a bit arbitrary.
“OK, it would
sound really cool because it’s a round number and it would make sense as I
would have made three movies per decade, but it’s not fixed in time. I still
have some more things to do before being done with movies.”
Well that’s good, because his next film will be his
tenth.
