The Guardian is reporting that veteran actor Peter Seamus Lorcan O’Tool, aka Peter O’Tool as passed away at the age of 81 in the Wellington hospital in London.
O’Tool’s ticket to stardom came when he played T.E.
Lawrence in David Lean’s 1962 classic Lawrence of Arabia, which is still his
most recognizable film to date. Despite the success of Lawrence of Arabia, O’Tool
continued making memorable performances in films like The Lion in Winter,
Goodbye, Mr. Chips, My Favorite Year, Ratatouille and the 2007’s Venus. O’Tool
has two movies coming up, Mary and Katherine of Alexandria.
Among his many award nominations we can count four
Golden Globes awards, eight Oscar nominations, and one Primetime Emmy Award and one Baft.
