With shooting or at least a part of it already under way, many are wondering if there will be room for other superheroes and new villains in Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman. In Man of Steel we could find some Easter eggs regarding Star Sapphire, Cyborg, Supergirl, Booster Gold, Lex Luther, and Batman who already joined in on the sequel, so will there be more additions to the superhero or villain cast? And if not these above, then others?
For
quite some time DC and Warner Bros. have been trying to introduce Wonder Woman
in either the big screen or tv, but unfortunately all attempts failed and the
character was put on a shelve. Now however, with a film featuring DC’s biggest
names (Batman and Superman), there is a chance to if not completely use the character,
at least introduce it to later use it.
In a
recent interview to Variety, Warner Bros.’ President of Creative Development
and Worldwide Production, Greg Silverman acknowledges that they have other
superheroes that either didn’t have a shot to shine or didn’t got a fare
fighting chance (Green Lantern).
“Wonder
Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box
office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.”
“We
are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that’s respectful
to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can,” Silverman
said, dodging the question. “So everything that has been speculated are things
that we’ve thought about.”
