Earlier this summer CW announced their plans to introduce The Flash/Barry Allen in the already established Arrow, in hopes that he then could start his own spin-off series.
Now,
it seems that the network has found their speedster in actor Grant Gustin (Glee).
The character will be introduced in the eighth episode of the second season,
followed up by the ninth episode and then sometime later in the 20th,
which at that time The Flash spin-off should take off.
The
Flash spin-off is being developed by Arrow co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew
Kreisberg as well as Arrow director David Nutter and DC’s Geoff Johns. Both co-creators
will run the show if CW picks up the series and Nutter will direct the first
episode.
