A month
or so ago Legendary Pictures announced that their partnership with Warner Bros.
was coming to an end later on this year when their contract ended and that
there were no plans for them to continue developing projects together.
Despite
this fact Legendary, still had some rights for a possible Man of Steel sequel,
which is happening, but agreed to give them up in trade for a portion of
Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, which opens in 2014.
Legendary
has a rich history with the director, the studio previously co-produce the Dark
Knight Trilogy and Inception.
