Pacific Rim
When legions of monstrous creatures, known
as Kaiju started rising from the sea,
a gigantic war breaks out to save Humanity and its resources from possible annihilation.
To stop these monsters and win the war, a special type of weapon is developed,
the Jaegers, massive robots that are controlled
simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are connected in a neural bridge. The Jaeger can fight one on one with the Kaiju since they are of the same size
and power, but not even they are proving to be powerful enough to stop the
relentless Kaiju from taking over the
world and wipe out Humanity. On the verge of certain defeat, the allied forces
defending mankind have but little choice but to turn to two of the most
unlikely heroes on the force, an untested trainee Mako Mori played by Rinko Kikuchi
and Raleigh Becket a washed up former
pilot, played by Charlie Hunnam.
Both of them (Rinko and Raleigh) are
teamed to drive the legendary but apparently completely obsolete Jaeger from the past. The two unlikely
heroes became the last hope for mankind as they alone fight the Kaiju for the future of all Humanity.
