Don't Breath and Evil
Dead remake director Fede Alvarez is being courted to helm the next installment
in Sony Pictures' Millennium trilogy, which has been lying dormant since 2011
when The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo opened in theaters.
Based on the fourth
novel in Stieg Larsson's Millennium book series, but written by David
Lagercrantz, The Girl in the Spider Web novel is being adapted to the big
screen by Locke writer and director Steven Knight, with Scott Rudin, Amy
Pascal, Elizabeth Cantillon, and Eli Bush producing alongside Yellow Bird's Soren
Staermose and Ole Sondberg, whom produced the original film trilogy.
Directed by David
Fincher, and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, 2011s The Girl with the
Dragon Tattoo grossed $232 million worldwide on a $90 million production
budget.
