The
first trailer for Iko Uwais next kick-ass movie has finally landed online.
Directed by Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto, who also wrote it, Headshot is an
action drama that follows an amnesiac man played by Uwais, who slowly comes to
the realization that he is a lethal fighting machine whose shady past comes
back to haunt him.
The Indonesian
film is still doing the film festivals rounds so there is no clear release date
just yet.
Headshot
reunites Uwais with several of his The Raid 2: Berendal co-stars mainly Julie
Estelle (Hammer Girl), Zack Lee (Benny), Very Tri Yulisman (Baseball Bat Man), and
Epy Kusnandar (Topan). The film also stars Chelsea Islan, and Sunny Pang.
Uwais plays a young man who washes ashore, an amnesiac with a serious head
injury whose past comes back to haunt him shortly after being nursed back to
health by a young doctor. Violence ensues. Sweet, sweet violence.
