Luke Cage's cleansing of Harlem began
yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con with the release of the first trailer for the
highly anticipated series, which showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker referred to as
"The Wire of Marvel television," and well…judge it for yourself.
In addition to the trailer, SDCC panel
also included a sizzle reel containing extra footage from Luke Cage, the first
couple seasons of Daredevil, and the first season of Jessica Jones.
Scheduled to premiere on September 30, Marvel's Luke
Cage also stars Simone Missick, Frank Whaley, Mahershala Ali, Theo Rossi, Erik
LaRay Harvey, Alfre Woodard, Darius Kaleb, Frankie Faison, and Kellen C.
Wingate.
After a sabotaged experiment leaves
him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a
fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City.
But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart
of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
