Because sure why not,
Envision Media Arts has reached a deal with PEZ Candy Inc. to "adapt"
the candy and its dispensers into an animated feature film with Lee Nelson (Basic,
Pathfinder) and David Buelow (Chained) producing and Cameron Fay penning the
script.
"PEZ Candy is beloved by children and adults alike, with
Cameron Fay we’ve created a world unique to Pez and a story that will touch the
hearts of many," said Nelson about the project.
I guess their angle
will be to turn the dispensers into characters, and perhaps get some licensing
deals to feature the heads of known characters like they do for the actual
candy.
