Now that we know that Channing
Tatum is officially onboard to star as Gambit in the upcoming X-Men spinoff
movie of the same name, reports are coming about who will star alongside him in
Rupert Wyatt's superhero flick.
According to Deadline, Blue Is
the Warmest Color and upcoming Spectre star Léa Seydoux has indeed tested with
Tatum and is officially in the race to get the female lead part in the upcoming
film. However, the French actress has her work cut out for her since Mission:
Impossible - Rogue Nation standout Rebecca Fergusson, and Mad Max: Fury Road's Abbey
Lee are also in the run.
The three and probably first
actress that we will hear off, are up for the role of Belladonna Boudreaux, aka
Bella, who in the comics was Gambit's first love interest and member of the
Assassin's Guild, a rival team to Gambit's Thieves Guild. In the source
material Bella also gained superpowers.
Gambit opens in theaters on
October 7, 2016.
