Although rumored to
have at least a cameo in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, Hugh Jackman's
Wolverine has never been officially confirmed as being one of the many mutants
that will populate Bryan Singer's follow-up to last year's X-Men: Days of
future Past. We know that Jackman is getting ready to pass on the claws to
someone else after his third solo outing as the character comes out, so it's
only fitting that he will have one last hurrah with his fellow mutants before
he leaves the franchise.
A Brooklyn custom
leather goods company called Kika NY has shared a photo on their instagram page
with a caption telling that they were asked to make a duffle bag "for Hugh
Jackman, who is filming the new X-Men movie in Montreal."
Though not an
official confirmation, it indeed seems that the actor will appear in some
capacity in Apocalypse, which is in mid-production with Michael Fassbender,
James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ty Sheridan, Sophie Turner,
Lana Condor, Alexandra Shipp, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Production on Jackman's
third and last Wolverine film should start right after Apocalypse ends so the
actor won't have to re-start the tiresome process of getting back into shape.
X-Men: Apocalypse
hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
