W. Earl Brown has the
latest addition to the cast of AMC's Preacher as Sheriff Hugo Root.
Hugo Root is "the
mean-hearted father of Eugene Root aka Arseface, a flinty-eyed,
conspiracy-credulous redneck who is not a fool and has a
vulnerability to him."
The actor joins
Dominic Cooper (Jesse Custer), Ruth Negga (Tulip), Joseph Gilgun (Cassidy), Ian
Colletti (Arseface), Elizabeth Perkins (Vyla Quinncannon), and Lucy Griffiths (Emily)
in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's adaptation of Garth Ennis, and Steve Dillon's
1990's cult comic series.
