Harry
Potter, Kill Your Darlings, and Horns star Daniel Radcliffe is in talks to play
Rockstar Games president and co-founder Sam Houser in the upcoming Grand Theft
Auto film.
GTA
tells the true behind-the-scenes account of the legal battle between Houser,
who created the Grand Theft Auto game, and Florida attorney Jack Thompson, who
opposed the glorification of sex and violence in any medium including in the
gaming industry.
According
to The Hollywood Reporter, Radcliffe is in negotiations to play Houser, but the
Jack Thompson role has yet to be cast.
Misfits,
Black Mirror, and Kill Your Friends director Owen Harris has been tapped to
helm the James Wood adaptation of author David Kushner's book, Jacked: The
Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto.
Expect
to hear more soon as production is scheduled to start on April 20.
