It's surprising that considering
the challenging sell that this October 23rd release of the adaptation of the
1980's cartoon tv show Jem and the Holograms will be, we haven't really seen anything
promoting it aside of last year's poster and today's small image.
Directed by Jon M. Chu,
Jem and the Holograms stars Aubrey Peeples as Jem, an orphan who after becoming
an internet sensation goes on a music-driven hunt with her band, which includes
Hayley Kiyoko as Aja, Stefanie Scott as Kimber, and Aurora Perrineau as Shana.
io9 recently managed
to get an earlier look at the March 2015 issue of Elle Magazine and scan the
small image of the upcoming adaptation.
My only knowledge of the show begins and ends with its intro, but I hope that marketing starts to pick up, otherwise this will have a worse return than The Scribbler.
Jem and the Holograms also stars Juliette Lewis, Ryan Guzman, and Molly Ringwald
