It seems that even though he lost the race to play
young Cyclops to Ty Sheridan, Eastenders star Ben Hardy is still in talks to
star in Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse in a different, yet "significant" role in the X-Men universe.
According to The Wrap the actor was at one point also
rumored to be up for a the Warren Worthington, aka Angel role, but insiders
have debunked that idea, and say that the actor is up for another "key role" that for now is being kept under lock
and key.
Scheduled to open on May 27, 2016, X-Men: Apocalypse also
stars James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender
(Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Rose Byrne (Moira
MacTaggert), Ty Sheridan (Cyclops), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Alexandra Shipp
(Storm), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler).
