The latest trailer for Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron just dropped and there are a couple of things worth noticing. First, who is that woman in the cave? Second, Is Andy Serkis really Ulysses Klaw, and third, is the Hulk being controlled by Scarlet Witch?
Let's speculate!
1. Who is the woman
in the cave?
Well there are a
couple of possibilities. The first one and the most improbable is Jocasta, Ultron's
created bride, who after seeing the monster that Ultron is, quickly betrays him
and helps the Avengers defeat him. The second possibility is probably the
strongest, Shuri, T'Challa, aka the Black Panther's younger sister. Given that
T'Challa is going to debut fully costumed as the Black Panther in Captain
America: Civil War, an appearance from someone close to him in Age of Ultron
would certainly go a long way in establish the character.
2. Is Andy Serkis really
Ulysses Klaw?
I would say that solely
based on appearance, yes, Andy Serkis is Klaw, and if the woman in the cave
really is Shuri then it would make sense given Klaw and Black Panther's history
together. But I would like to point out that his necklace is a giveaway, unless
it's misdirection, then well played Mr. Whedon.
3. Is the Hulk being
controlled by Scarlet Witch?
Since we still don't
know exactly what powers were adapted from the source material, I can't say for
sure but out of all the characters in the movie Scarlet Witch is the only one
with that kind of power.
