With
principal photography scheduled to begin in just a few months in April
information regarding Captain America: Civil War are slim at best. We know that
like most of the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe it won't stick to close
to the source material, but how far off will it be?
While
promoting his new film Black or White on the Windy City Live Mackie offered a
crash course on who is Captain America, when asked about the rumors that he
might pick up the Captain America's shield.
"Well,
you know there are many incarnations in the comic book, and we are now going
into the Civil War.
So, if you look at it in the comic book, Cap gives Bucky the shield, Bucky gives
it back to Cap, Cap gives it to [Sam Wilson]. Then Bucky goes off and marries
Black Widow, so I keep the shield... give it back to Cap, and recently Cap
wanted to be old, so he gave me the shield back and now I got the Shield; I'm
not giving it back."

If
and when Marvel decides that Cap should pass on the shield to either Bucky or
Sam we will only know about it after Avengers: Infinity War in 2019, unless that
is Cap dies in Civil War or decides to go by a different name at the end of the
film.
In a
separate interview, Mackie reveals Flacon has a new suit, and that it is better
than the one he wore in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
"The
new falcon suit is gonna be much better than the old Falcon suit; gotta
rebuild," he said.
