As many of us expected, the events of Marvel's Agents
of S.H.I.E.L.D. will tie in with those of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron,
otherwise it wouldn't really be a shared universe. So far the show has followed
in parallel with the rest of Marvel's Cinematic Universe feeling on occasion the
aftershock of its events.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly executive producer Jed Whedon confirmed that there
will be something.
“You
should expect something,” said Whedon. “The Avengers is the big tent that all
the franchises play under. Obviously, we’re
included in that.”
Aside from The Avengers, which started it all for
Coulson and his Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Captain America: The Winter Soldier is
probably the one film that had the biggest influence on the show. Will Age of
Ultron have the same impact?
“I don’t
think any movie has the potential to impact us in the way that Captain America 2 did,” revealed executive producer
Maurissa Tancharoen, “but there will be connections.”
What do you think will happen?
