Although it is a Disney
animation and not a Marvel film, Big Hero 6 is still based on a Marvel comic. So
it is not surprising at all that the film has a couple of time-honored Marvel traditions
in it, a post-credit scene and a Stan "The Man" Lee cameo.
When the villain
wearing a Kabuki mask first attacks, our heroes they decide to go into hiding.
Fred the loveable goof voiced by comedian T.J. Miller offers his family estate
as sanctuary. Surprised that Fred comes from money, our heroes enter the big
posh house, and it's at this time that Fred points to a family picture
featuring none other than Stan Lee (in animated form of course) as Fred's
father.
Big Hero 6 ends, the city
of San Fransokyo is safe and Fred returns to his family mansion and begins
talking to his father's image in the above-mentioned family picture. The proud Fred
expresses his feelings about becoming a superhero, when suddenly he activates a
secret door hidden in the portrait. Fred walks in only to discover a room full
of tech, weapons, and costumes. Fred is not the only superhero in the family. Out
of the blue his father appear behind him and holds up a pair of underwear (part
of his superhero costume) and reiterates Fred's earlier comments on how to get
four days of use out of one pair of underwear before washing it. Fred and his
father hug, and says they have a lot to talk about.
