Director A.J. Edwards who recently
made his directorial debut with the so not critically acclaimed The Better
Angels (37 on RT) seems to be in talks to helm one of the upcoming Star Wars
spin-offs. In a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, the director confirmed
that he's currently in talks to helm one of the spin-offs and added that it
will focus on Mace Windu.
It's unclear how far into
negotiations the director and studio are, but if the director does sign on, he
will be third one to do so and will join Godzilla's Gareth Edwards and Chronicle
Josh Trank.
Samuel L. Jackson played Mace
Windu in George Lucas' prequels trilogy.
What do you think of this new
development?
