While never confirmed, it looked like
a sure thing that Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel was going to
make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic universe in the form of a cameo in the
upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, but now it seems that that isn't so.
According to Devin Faraci from
Badass Digest, some sources claim that Marvel is getting cold feet about having
the character make her cameo in the upcoming sequel directed by Joss Whedon.
As always take it with a grain of
salt as it was never confirmed that Captain Marvel was in the film, but the
delays are starting to become unbearable.
MCU update: sources tell me Marvel is getting cold feet about Captain Marvel in AGE OF ULTRON. They're not sure they want to intro her cold.

It's important to note that Captain Marvel is written as a CAMEO in ULTRON. Taking her out doesn't impact the movie.

They still have time to decide - I do not believe the scene where her cameo would be has been shot yet.

@yannickbelzil @HANSEN_SOGROOVY in the ULTRON script she was already a superhero when she appears for like thirty seconds of screentime.
