According to Jedi News, Harrison Ford's broken leg
might end up causing J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII to be
delayed.
We're
hearing via a number of sources that production on Episode VII could be delayed
due to the severe nature of Harrison Ford's leg injury. We understand a meeting
was called this morning at Pinewood to discuss the situation, but the early
word is that production of the film could be pushed back by a substantial
amount of time.
Metro also claims that the delay could be as long as
six months, which is a departure from what was reported a week ago, that Ford
would be out for six to eight weeks. If this is the case then Abrams can film
around Ford, and once the actor is better, shot his scenes, but if Ford ends up
being out of commission for six months, then production and ultimately the
release date, might end up being pushed.
Star Wars: Episode VII
stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew,
Kenny Baker, Lupita Nyong'o, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar
Isaac, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
