Earlier this month director Guillermo del Toro announced
that despite not having a thumbs up from Legendary about a sequel to Pacific Rim,
he and screenwriter Zak Penn were working like there was.
Today however, the director announces that there will
be a animated Pacific Rim series that will continue with the story from the
comic book published, but more importantly that there will be a Pacific Rim 2.
