Earlier this month Marvel announced director Scott Derrickson as the man chosen to helm Marvel's first foray into the world of magic, Doctor Strange.
There have been many names rumored to up for the titular role, but we
might get another character, cast before that.
Speaking to IGN, Edgar Ramirez, who recently worked with the director on
Deliver Us From Evil, said that he and Derrickson have talked about him
possibly joining the film.
"We're
talking. We've been talking."
Now, this doesn't mean that the actor will appear in the movie, but if it
does, then for what role? The titular? Will Ramirez join the shortlist of
actors up for that role, which now includes Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch,
and Jared Leto? Or will he be the villain? Baron Mordo? Maybe another one of
the Ancient One's pupils and colleague of Strange?
Too many questions, and not enough to go on, so it really is a case of
wait and see.
Would you like to see Ramirez in
the film? In what role?
