News came out just moments ago that directors Rawson Thurber (We're the Miller's), Adam McKay (Anchorman 1 and 2), and Ruben
Fleisher (Zombieland) were on the shortlist to replace
Edgar Wright in the upcoming Ant-Man project. Now according to The Wrap,
director Rawson Thurber is leading the pack, mainly because of scheduling
issues and the "heat" he brings from the hit comedy We're the Miller's.
The news site says that Fleisher has just been a parent, so he may be reluctant
to sign on a big budget, demanding and time consuming project like Ant-Man.
They also give their thoughts on Adam
McKay for director, and say that although he seems like a nice fit at first,
since he has worked with Paul Rudd in the past, he doesn't quite fit the Marvel
bill with his improvisational style.
